Television Commercials:

Local markets can often be best served by a locally produced TV commercial which makes use of personalities, situations and scenes familiar to the audience.
As an independent producer, we are able to devote adequate time and attention to make your commercial an effective marketing tool for your business or organization.

DVD Production - Authoring & Duplication

K2 Communications can produce, author, duplicate or replicate your DVD for you. We can produce an entirely new video for you or convert your existing video program to DVD.

Duplication

We work from the following types of master tapes : VHS, S-VHS, beta, Betacam or Betacam SP. DVCAM, DVCPRO and consumer DV, and High Definition formats HDV and XDCAM HD.
We can also supply custom labels, cardboard sleeves or plastic cases, as dictated by your requirements.

Format Conversion

There are several different television standards in use around the world. A video or DVD from one country will not necessarily play back in another.
The NTSC (National Television Systems Committee) Standard, uses 525 interlaced scanning lines every 1/30 of a second.
The PAL (Phase Alternate Line) and SECAM ( Sequential Colour And Memory) Standards as well as several variants of each use 625 interlaced lines every 1/25 of a second.
If you send or receive DVD's or video tapes to and from other countries, very often you must have the tapes converted to the local broadcast system standard. K2 Communications can convert DVD's and VHS video tapes to and from the NTSC, PAL, SECAM, MESECAM, M-PAL and N-PAL systems. We can also convert to any of the above systems from VHS, S-VHS, Beta, Betacam, and Betacam SP, DVCAM, DVCPRO and consumer DV (standard play only).

Post-Production Facilities Rental

For clients wishing to edit their own productions our post production facilities are available for rental with or without an operator. Please call (403) 327-2612 or email our office for current rates.
Independent producers in need of post-product ion services will find these facilities more than adequate. They can be rented with or without the services of an editor.
